Harnessing the Sun
You all should know how important growth and change is for the team at Studio Red Design as we support our clients over decades while they respond to changing business, client, and other environments. In addition, we have a personal love of growth and change as you’ll have seen with our recent efforts to make the entire landscape around Studio Red Design edible and environmentally sustainable. Growth of plants fundamentally relies on two things: the sun and the rain. Since we cannot control the rain we took it upon ourselves recently, with an eye towards Earth Day, to control, or at least harness, the sun and become carbon neutral or better through installing solar panels across Studio Red and Alston’s nearby home. We conducted exhaustive research using sites like https://www.energysage.com as well as various boards and review sites. We connected with over 8 providers and ultimately selected one that stood out from the pack in the way of flexibility, pricing, quality, and reviews.
Effective April 22, 2021, Studio Red Design became a net generator of power with the tremendous help and assistance of City Renewables & Revolution Solar. Working with the fantastic CEO and Founder of City Renewables, Benjamin Colbert (no relation to the Late Show host…LOL!), we were able to design a 13,484 kWh system that is forecast to offset 102% of Studio Red Design and the home. The system is comprised of state of the art 360 watt modules and Enphase Microinverters. The Revolution Solar team was consultative, friendly, and FAST! They installed the whole system in only day and then returned the following day to add six more after they identified some additional space (hey, we’re Americans and we love to super-size!). Within a few days they had facilitated a successful inspection and we were up and running.
For existing clients, you know we are committed to partnering with you to help you inform, engage, and inspire. For you and for future clients, know that we will be serving you going forward entirely through the power of the sun. Please visit us at studiored.us to learn more about our commitment to the environment and other progressive causes. If you are looking to take the same steps we recently took and are located in the DMV area, you should definitely reach out to Benjamin Colbert’s organization at https://cityrenewables.com/home. You’ll be treated like a friend and will be able to quickly take the steps to go solar!
