Hawkers, Beggars, Quacks

Its time like this when I realize what a small world we live in.

A friend from our girls school reached out looking for help to put together a special story book of favorite remembrances of her father. She initially tried using an online service to piece this book together, but after hours and hours of trying, she was unhappy and frustrated. She reached out, and during our discussion, I learned that we own a book written by her father (Engravings by Hogarth)! What a small world…

With sensitivity and care, we worked to pull together this perfect-bound book of stories, emails and images about her father. The title and the cover aesthetic references his most recent publication: Hawkers, Beggars and Quacks. It was an honor for us to work on such a memorial. Here are some images.

I came to Alston for help on a memory book about my father, who had recently passed away. What she created was absolutely beautiful. She asked all the right questions and figured out how to capture his spirit, giving me and my family a keepsake we will treasure. She is a truly talented professional.
